Tiles for the Gulf: Heat, Sand and Mall-Scale Floors
Gulf projects combine three stresses: fine sand tracked indoors, air-conditioning that swings surface temperatures, and mall floors that run thousands of square metres without a visual break. The specification has to answer all three.

Sand is sandpaper
Windborne dust grinds soft glazes over time. In entries and high-traffic mall concourses, matt R10 bodies outlast polished ones by years, and light sediment patterns hide the wear path.
Limestone in 600x1200 is our default Gulf mall floor for this reason: the pattern forgives, the surface resists, and replacement cartons match by shade code.
Scale and shade continuity
A 4,000 sqm floor cannot be re-fired if a later container drifts. Phased shipments are locked to a sealed first batch, and CIF Jebel Ali keeps the freight leg short enough to schedule around site openings.
Matt, light and shade-locked. The Gulf punishes everything else.
